Dreadnaught originally belonged to Ken Feltwell & David Vowles and took part in the first three series of robotwars. Apparently this robot was originally powered by two Morris Minor motors, which proved to be Dreadnaught's downfall in series one when the team had to retire due to not having AA coverage! They did get through to the semi final though facing Wedgehog, so they didn't do that badly.

In series two Dreadnaught managed to knock down the wall whilst running the Gauntlet challenge.  It got through to semi-final again, this time the opponent was Oblivion. However, Dreadnaught couldn't move and was almost destroyed by the house robots.  It was later discovered that the engine's safety key was knocked out when the shell was put on, rendering it immobile. Doh!

In the third series Dreadnaught got a new 'Alienesque' body shell and improved mobility, it got through to round 3 beating Psychokiller in round one and Rattus Rattus in round two, but was then sadly beaten by Trident in round three, who then got trashed by the house robots, he he.

In series 4, Dreadnaught was again upgraded to version XP-1 (experimental prototype 1) In the first melee it met Darke Destroyer II and Warhog, cunningly immobalising Warhog with its own weapon. at which point the house robots fell upon Dreadnaught! In the second round Dreadnaught met the lobster of Dave and Ian Harding, and alas, was flipped over.
