After realising Digit 2 was not going to be ready on time, I decided to dig Digit out and have another go with him. After all a wobbly robot was better than no robot. So I set to work fixing the problems, and was pleasantly suprised, that he didn't seem to be too bad. There was a last minute adding of stiffeners to his chassis which changed his centre of gravity, and meant I had to re write all the PIC coding tables, but in the end I was quietly pleased and hopeful of doing quite well.

Here are a few pictures from the event. If you recognise any of the robots please let me know what they're called and the team name and i'll update the page :)

The Minnesota Mauler

might be called Ryan?

"The mean garden pot" - is an antweight combat robot (it didn't actually compete in the games as the 'pot'
is a spinning weapon banned by the rules).
It has two legs each with a sucker and walks by
sucking down on one leg and
rotating about that leg - with the pot spinning around the outside.

"Tortoise" - The winner in the line follower
competition - with a time of 1 minute 29s is was over twice as fast as last years entry "snail".

In A Rush

Pheonix dubbed by Debs as Mi'lady, Gerry Anderson would be proud Geoff ;)
