Wicksteed Theme Park Northampton - 2004

After Billing we had learnt another few lessons, the most obvious was not to let Peter do the weapons lol! (See Billing if you don't know why!) So at Wicksteed Debs took over as weapons officer and didn't do a bad job. Overall we did well, no embarrassing breakdowns and a couple of nice battles. We only went for the Sunday as we couldn't make Saturday but it was a great day nontheless. One memorable non fight moment was when a kid in the crowd asked for Debs autograph, she almost died of embarrassment lol.

Time to roll out the new team shirts, flame effect to match Chompie's flames, rather cool in a flaming hot way.	Our first fight was against Scrap Dragon, Debs was worried when she saw the tip of the jaw disappear into the armour of Scrap Dragon. Realising we could do more damage to them with the jaws than we expected I decided to get them in the pit as we didn't want to do too much damage. So that fight was over very quickly.
End of the fight with Scrap Dragon, Chompie almost went into the pit himself at one point.	Our next fight was against Big Nipper and it was our best fight so far and it was enjoyed by all watching and taking part. there were a few near misses and we toyed with the edge of the pit on more than one occasion...
Chompie nips Big Nipper.	Ooooop's up against the arena wall we go and the Nipper team tried to nip our underneath, Debs self-righted us and we got back on with the fight..
It was a real tussle and we had loads of fun, the fight eventually went to the Big Nipper team on a judges decision, there was a lot of booing from the crowd at the decision I have to add. In our opinion the Nipper Boys did a better job but it was nice to not be the under dragon for a change.	Poor Jason from the Thor/Air team took a lot of ribing about the aim of his weapon. Angie had the crowd shouting "Now!" when he got close to a target. Here's proof that he did indeed hit the target at least once lol!

Ewe II, Ripper & Big Nipper battle it out, can't remember who won but I'll bet it was Jonno & Steve?	Scrap Dragon & Scrappy two really eye catching robots, Debs fell in love with little Scrappy and is constantly asking me to build a mini Chompie so she can drive since Wicksteed.
